How to play
The Daily Anagram is a free daily word game. At midnight US Eastern time everyone gets the same scrambled letters — solve them, share your result without spoiling it, and come back tomorrow to grow your streak.
- Unscramble the tiles.Tap the letters or just type. Any real word that uses every tile counts.
- Choose Easy, Medium or Hard.Three separate words, from 3 to 9 letters. Solving any one keeps your streak alive.
- Stuck? Take a hint.Up to three per word: the first letter, the last letter, then the first few.
Questions
When does the next puzzle come out?
At midnight US Eastern time, the same moment for everyone, with daylight saving handled automatically. Once you finish a word, the countdown shows exactly how long is left.
How does the streak work?
Solve at least one level on a day to keep it going. Revealing the answer does not count, but you can still solve another level that day. If you miss a day, you can play it from the archive and it counts once solved.
What is the difference between Easy, Medium and Hard?
Length. Easy words have 3 to 5 letters, Medium 6 to 7, and Hard 8 to 9. They are three separate words, so solving one tells you nothing about the others.
Which answers are accepted?
Any real word that uses every tile exactly once. If the letters make more than one word, each of them counts. Words are checked against the same public-domain list the Anagram Solver uses, so proper nouns and abbreviations are not included.
How do hints work?
You get up to three per word: the first letter, then the last letter, then the opening letters. Hints are shown in your result, but a solve with hints still keeps your streak.
Where is my progress saved?
In your browser, on this device. There is no account to create. Private browsing, clearing site data or switching devices starts your stats fresh.
Will sharing my result spoil the puzzle?
No. The shared text shows the puzzle number, the level, how many hints and guesses you used and your time — never the word itself.
