Unscramble a rack and see every word it makes, ranked by score. Browse word lists by length, beginning or ending. Play a new anagram every day, or print a worksheet for a class. Everything is free and nothing needs an account.
How it works
The dictionary is split into small files by word length. When you type, your browser downloads only the lengths it needs and does the solving itself. That is why results appear as you type, why a search you have already started keeps working if your connection drops, and why the letters you enter are never sent anywhere to be solved.
Where the words come from
The word list is ENABLE, a public-domain list made for word games, plus a short hand-checked list of modern additions such as QI and ZA. Definitions come from WordNet 3.1, and a word-frequency list from the English Speller Database helps pick familiar words for puzzles.
This is not an official tournament dictionary. If a word is disputed in your game, your game’s own dictionary decides. Full credits are on the licenses page.
